For us, sustainability begins with responsibility. As one of South Tyrol's oldest inns, Cavallino d'Oro has witnessed more than seven centuries of history. Generation after generation has cared for this house, preserved its character and passed it on. Sustainability therefore goes beyond environmental awareness. It also means protecting our cultural heritage, valuing our employees, caring for our guests and contributing positively to our local community.

Sustainable Energy

South Tyrol generates around 7,500 GWh of clean electricity each year through more than 30 hydropower plants. We source all of our electricity from regional renewable energy providers. While our heating system currently relies on conventional fuels, we continuously work to reduce consumption through targeted efficiency measures.

  • All guests receive the South Tyrol Guest Pass, providing free access to public transport.
  • Through tourism-related contributions and memberships, we help support public transport services.
  • Discounted bicycle and e-bike rental options are available.
  • We encourage train travel by assisting with shuttle services and luggage transfers.
